The Most Wonderful Blessing

The drama The Most Wonderful Blessing is the story of a preacher in a house church. He believed that just by giving up his home and his job, and working and preaching the gospel he could gain God’s blessing. After accepting Almighty God’s work of the last days he continued on as usual, and as a leader in the church focused only on working hard while neglecting to put God’s words into practice. He often relied on his own corrupt disposition in his affairs. God loathed this, and he lost the work of the Holy Spirit. After losing his position as a leader, for a time he was negative and resistant to God, but the judgment of God’s words awoke him. He realized that God’s most wonderful blessing for mankind is His judgment and chastisement.

Over the years since accepting the work of Almighty God in the last days, my wife and I have undergone this together under the oppression of the great red dragon. As the majority of leaders and workers at all levels of the church still have a very shallow understanding of the truth and are not clear on what substantive work to do to serve God, even if they discover some obvious problems they won’t be able to see through the substance of them. They only know how to follow rules in their work and don’t do things according to principles. When fulfilling their duties, they only discuss work and rarely communicate the truth or use the truth to resolve problems.

 Some people say that there is no God at all; how is this viewpoint wrong? How should we confirm that God exists?

The Answer from God’s Word:

How many creatures are there living and reproducing in the vast expanse of the universe, following the law of life over and over, adhering to one constant rule. Those who die take with them the stories of the living, and those who are living repeat the same tragic history of those who have died. And so mankind can’t help but ask itself: Why do we live? And why do we have to die? Who is in command of this world? And who created this mankind? Was mankind really created by Mother Nature? Is mankind really in control of its own fate? … Mankind does not know who is the Sovereign of all things in the universe, much less does he know the beginning and future of mankind. Mankind merely lives, perforce, amidst this law. None can escape it and none can change it, for among all things and in the heavens there is but One from everlasting to everlasting who holds sovereignty over everything. He is the One who has never been beheld by man, the One whom mankind has never known, in whose existence mankind has never believed, yet He is the One who breathed the breath into mankind’s ancestors and gave life to mankind. He is the One who supplies and nourishes mankind for its existence, and guides mankind up to the present day.

My work is about to be complete. The many years we have spent together have become unbearable memories of the past. I have continued to repeat My words and have not stopped progressing in My new work. Of course, My advice is a necessary component in each piece of work that I do. Without My counsel, you will all go astray and be even more at a loss. My work is now about to finish and come to an end; I still want to do some work in providing counsel, that is, to offer some words of advice for you to listen to. I only hope you will not waste My painstaking efforts and moreover, that you can understand all the care and thought I have expended, treating My words as the foundation of how you behave as a human being. Whether it be words you are willing to listen to or not, whether it be words you enjoy accepting or accept uncomfortably, you must take them seriously. Otherwise, your casual and unconcerned dispositions and demeanors will really upset Me and, even more, disgust Me. I very much hope that all of you can read My words over and over again—thousands of times—and even know them by heart. Only that way can you not fail My expectations of you. However, none of you are living like this now. On the contrary, all of you are immersed in a debauched life of eating and drinking your fill, and none of you use My words to enrich your hearts and souls. This is the reason I have concluded that mankind’s true face is one that will always betray Me and no one can be absolutely faithful to My words.

Snowflakes began to flutter down at dusk. Standing in the balcony and looking out of the window, I recalled a series of scenes where the Lord Jesus together with His disciples came back to Nazareth. He looked at the innumerable people with a smile and passersby also greeted Him. It seemed that they were very familiar to Him. However, when the Lord Jesus bore testimony to Himself as the Messiah, people, choked with anger, attacked and reviled Him. Just as it is recorded in the Scripture: “And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill where on their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong” (Luk4:28-29).

Outside the window, it snowed more heavily. Soon, everything became white. But I wasn’t in the mood to appreciate the snow scenery outside the window, but was thinking: When the Lord Jesus preached the gospel of the Kingdom in other places, there were many believers following Him. But when He returned to His hometown and preached, why did the fellow townsmen forsake Him and even want to push Him off a cliff instead of welcoming Him?
