If a person only believes in fate but they are unable to know, if a person only believes in fate but they are unable to recognize, if a person only believes in fate but they are unable to submit, unable to accept the Creator's sovereignty over man's fate, their life would be a tragedy, their life would be lived in vain, their life would be a void, they can't submit to His dominion, they can't become a created being in the truest sense of the phrase, and enjoy the Creator's approval, enjoy it through the days. A person who knows God's sovereignty, they should be in an active state. A person who sees God's sovereignty, they should not be in a passive state. While accepting all things are fated, they've a right definition of fate: The life of man is entirely under God's sovereignty.

When one recollects the phases of one's journey, when one looks back upon the road one has walked, one sees that at every step God was guiding one's path, whether one's road was smooth or whether one's road was hard. God was planning it out with meticulous arrangements. One's been led to today unknowingly. What a great fortune that is to receive His salvation, to accept the Creator's sovereignty. A person who knows God's sovereignty, they should be in an active state. A person who sees God's sovereignty, they should not be in a passive state. If a person perceives God's sovereignty, they will more earnestly desire to submit to everything God has planned, to obey all God's arrangements. If a person perceives God's sovereignty, they will have determination and confidence to stop rebelling against God, to accept His orchestrations. God takes care of man, and man lives under His wings. All that man does, all his words and deeds, are bound up with God, can’t be apart.

My name is Lin Ying. I’m a Christian in the Church of Almighty God. Before I believed in Almighty God, I always tried to work with my own ability for a better life. But things ran counter to my wish; I got into trouble and was frustrated everywhere. Having fully experienced life’s hardships, I felt exhausted mentally and physically and felt extremely miserable. Just when I was distressed and helpless, a sister preached Almighty God’s end-time gospel to me. I read God’s words, “When you feel tired and when you slightly feel a sense of desolation of this world, do not feel perplexed and do not weep. Almighty God, the Watcher, is ready to embrace your coming at any time.” (from “The Sighs of the Almighty” in The Word Appears in the Flesh) I couldn’t help shedding tears. The motherly words of Almighty God greatly comforted me. I felt that I, like an orphan wandering for years, returned to the bosom of my family and was no longer lonely and helpless. From then on, I thirstily read God’s word every day. Through having meetings and fellowshipping with the brothers and sisters in the Church of Almighty God, I saw that they were so kind and honest. There was no jealousy, dispute, or intrigue among them. No matter who met any difficulty, others would sincerely fellowship about the truth and help him solve it, without making bargains or seeking rewards. What they lived out was God’s love. There, I received the release and happiness that I had never had. I deeply felt that the Church of Almighty God is a holy pure land and became certain that Almighty God is the only true God who can save men from the abyss of misery. Just when I was enjoying God’s love, the CCP government arrested and persecuted me illegally, breaking my joyful and pleasant life.

Do you wanna know why the Pharisees opposed Jesus? Do you wanna know what their substance is? They were full of fantasies about the Messiah, only believing in His coming, not seeking truth of life till today. They’re still waiting for Him, still not knowing the way of truth or life. 
Do you wanna know why these silly folk didn’t gain God’s blessing? Do you wonder how they failed to behold the Messiah? They opposed Jesus, not knowing He spoke the way of truth, didn’t understand the Messiah or the Holy Spirit’s work, never seen or been with Him. They paid empty tributes to His name and all the price to resist Him.
Disobedient, stubborn, arrogant, they held stubbornly this belief: Though profound was His preaching and authority on high, only if He’s called Messiah were they willing to concede. But these are ramblings man should ridicule and label as grandiose fantasies.
God is asking you: Are you not gonna repeat the Pharisees’ mistakes? Since you do not understand Jesus Christ, are you able to discern the way of truth and way of life, watch the Holy Spirit’s work and follow in His light? Can you guarantee you’ll not oppose Christ? If no, then you’re on the brink of death, not life.
