At that time, I was very enthusiastic and I set a resolution before God: No matter what I encounter, I will not abandon my responsibilities. I will work well with the other sister and will be someone who seeks after truth. But I was merely resolved, and didn’t know how to enter into the reality of a harmonious working relationship.

Recently, a church was holding a vote to select a new leader, but the presiding leader went against the principles of the church, using her own way to carry out the vote. When some other brothers and sisters voiced their opinions, not only did she not acknowledge them, but insisted on upholding her own way. The church was subsequently thrown into confusion by the leader’s actions. When I found out, I totally lost my temper: How could someone be so arrogant and self-righteous?

When I was six years old my mother believed in the Lord Jesus, and she would often bring me to church gatherings. I slowly became aware of the fact that man was created by God, that if we are in trouble we should pray to God and rely on God, and that we should thank God for everything. My mother told me: “God loves people, so long as we pray to God and entrust Him with what’s on our mind and truly rely on Him, then He will solve our problems and bestow us with bountiful grace.

Are you supping with the Lord?

Now we are already in the late period of the last days. Many people determine that all testimonies of the arrival of the Lord Jesus are false just because they are afraid of being deceived by false Christs. So, even though they’ve heard someone testifying that the Lord Jesus has returned, they refuse to seek or investigate it, and merely wait for the Lord’s revelation. Can we really meet the Lord’s return by practicing in this way?

Answer: The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”(Jhn 10:27). “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit said to the churches” (Rev 2:7). The Lord Jesus clearly said that when the Lord comes, He will surely utter words and express the voice of God. All who hear the voice of God, search and accept it, will thus welcome the return of the Lord and be taken before God's throne. Will it do if we hear people testifying to the coming of the Lord, yet do not search or examine it? How could it be feasible to merely await the revelation of the Lord? Could the Lord act in this way? Did the Lord say for us to await His revelation? No, He did not! Thus, such views are simply misleading and deceitful. Only ridiculous fools could say such things. If we await the revelation of the Lord according to this saying, then we can do nothing but wait for death, and bring about our own downfall.

Satisfying God is something that is achieved by building on the foundation of understanding God’s will, and in order to understand God’s will, it is necessary to have some knowledge of God. This knowledge of God is the vision that one who believes in God must have; it is the basis of man’s belief in God. In the absence of this knowledge, man’s belief in God would exist in a vague state, in the midst of empty theory. Even if it is the resolution of people like this to follow God, they will gain nothing.
