Snowflakes began to flutter down at dusk. Standing in the balcony and looking out of the window, I recalled a series of scenes where the Lord Jesus together with His disciples came back to Nazareth. He looked at the innumerable people with a smile and passersby also greeted Him. It seemed that they were very familiar to Him. However, when the Lord Jesus bore testimony to Himself as the Messiah, people, choked with anger, attacked and reviled Him. Just as it is recorded in the Scripture: “And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill where on their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong” (Luk4:28-29).

Outside the window, it snowed more heavily. Soon, everything became white. But I wasn’t in the mood to appreciate the snow scenery outside the window, but was thinking: When the Lord Jesus preached the gospel of the Kingdom in other places, there were many believers following Him. But when He returned to His hometown and preached, why did the fellow townsmen forsake Him and even want to push Him off a cliff instead of welcoming Him?

Rainbow Covenant: Know God’s Love and Selflessness

As I looked outside the car window, I saw a rainbow appeared in the sky. It had just rained. This reminded me of the story of the great flood during Noah’s time that destroyed the earth, and that God used a rainbow to establish His covenant with man.

In Genesis 6:13, God said, “The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” When I first read this verse, all I knew was that during Noah’s time, people were sinful, sexually immoral and corrupted, so God had to destroy the earth through a great flood. However, only Noah worshiped God, his family of eight built the ark according to God’s instruction and eventually survived the great flood. Later, I read God’s words in Genesis 9:11-13, “And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.” I was puzzled and wondered why the rainbow was used as a sign of covenant and what the intention was behind this covenant between God and man. One day, I read two paragraphs from a book that touched my heart, which gave me more revelation regarding why God used the rainbow to establish His covenant with man.

I was born into a Christian family. I’m 50 years old. Since the 1970s, I had begun to serve God fervently. At that time, there weren’t many believers, so I became a leader in my twenties. My entire management plan, a plan that spans six thousand years, consists of three stages, or three ages: the Age of Law in the beginning; the Age of Grace (which is also the Age of Redemption); and the Age of Kingdom in the last days. My six-thousand-year management plan is divided into three stages so as to achieve the following effect: to enable My creations to become My witnesses, to comprehend My will, and to know that I am the truth.

Man’s life originates from God, the existence of the heaven is because of God, and the existence of the earth stems from the power of God’s life. No object possessed of vitality can transcend the sovereignty of God, and no thing with vigor can break away from the ambit of God’s authority. In this way, regardless of who they are, everyone must submit under the dominion of God, everyone must live under God’s command, and no one can escape from His control.
