1. What is knowing God exactly? Can an understanding of Bible knowledge and theological theory be considered as knowing God?

What does it mean to know God? It means that man knows God’s gamut of emotions, this is what knowing God is. You say that you have seen God, yet you do not understand God’s gamut of emotions, do not understand His disposition, and do not know His righteousness either. You have no understanding of His mercifulness, and do not know what He loathes. This cannot be called knowledge of God. Therefore, some people are able to follow God, but they do not necessarily believe in God. This is the distinction. If you know Him, you understand Him, if you are able to comprehend and grasp some of what His will is, and you know His heart, then you can truly believe in Him, can truly submit to Him, truly love Him, and truly worship Him. If you do not understand these things, then you are only following along, a person who only runs along and follows the crowd. That cannot be called true submission, and cannot be called true worship. How can true worship be produced?

I was formerly a preacher of the Born Again Church. I once thought that I had already had the seal of salvation and was the holiest one who loved God the most. And I had set my heart on pursuing to be a good shepherd after God’s heart. However, when Jesus whom I had been earnestly expecting for many years came back, I did not know him and acted as a blind guide. I had broken God’s heart.

In the summer of 1990, I went back to my hometown to see my mother, and she preached the Lord’s gospel to me. After I returned to Jiagedaqi (in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region), I joined the Born Again Church, and at the end of that year, I clearly knew that I had been saved. In December 1998, I attended a training course for the first-class “pillars,” and from then on, I became even more zealous in serving the Lord.

2. When people transgress, as long as they are able to know and repent, and can change, then God will forget. God gives people the chance to repent so that they may gain salvation.

3. During the time of the work of God’s word, no man is readily punished. To the greatest extent possible, God is tolerant of people and gives them the chance to repent.

4. God saves those who truly believe in God, loathes and curses antichrists, the wicked, and unclean and evil spirits. Those who hate the truth will surely be destroyed.

To know God’s work in these times is, for the most part, to know God incarnate of the last days, what His principal ministry is, and what He has come to do on earth. I have previously mentioned in My words that God has come to earth (during the last days) to set an exemplar before departing. How does God set this exemplar? By speaking words, by working and speaking throughout the land. This is God’s work during the last days; He only speaks, so that the earth becomes a world of words, so that every person is provided for and enlightened by His words, and so that man’s spirit is awakened and he is clear about the visions. During the last days, God incarnate has come to earth chiefly in order to speak words. When Jesus came, He spread the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, and accomplished the work of redemption of the crucifixion. He brought an end to the Age of Law, and abolished all the old things.

What is the most basic principle in seeking the true way? You have to look at whether or not there is the work of the Holy Spirit, whether or not these words are the expression of the truth, who is testified to, and what it can bring you. Distinguishing between the true way and the false way requires several aspects of basic knowledge, the most fundamental of which is to tell whether or not there is the work of the Holy Spirit. For the substance of man’s belief in God is the belief in the Spirit of God, and even his belief in God incarnate is because this flesh is the embodiment of the Spirit of God, which means that such belief is still the belief in the Spirit. There are differences between the Spirit and the flesh, but because this flesh comes from the Spirit, and is the Word become flesh, thus what man believes in is still the inherent substance of God.
