1. Yao XX, female, aged 42, from Henan Province, formerly a co-worker in the Justification by Faith Church. In October 1998, someone preached God’s end-time work to me and gave me a book of God’s word. Without carefully examining it, I consulted with the brothers and sisters in my former church, saying, “There are too many denominations in the last days, and we should not accept any of them blindly.” So I returned the book of God’s word to the person who preached the gospel. Later, another person talked with me about God’s end-time work many times. However, I not only rejected it but spoke many blasphemous and slanderous words against it. In September 1999, my child had an unusual illness. Being treated in four hospitals cost several thousand yuan. Even so, I did not make self-examination. In January 2000, my husband suffered from sciatica and was confined to bed for over twenty days, but I still did not realize that it was God’s discipline. On July 8, 2000, I fell out of a tree and broke my lumbar vertebrae. It cost me quite a lot of money. Yet I was still not awakened. In September, someone brought me a booklet called Typical Cases of Punishment for Resisting Almighty God. After reading it, I thought of what I had done and the misfortunes that happened to my family, and realized that I had been punished for resisting God. Later, through investigation, I came to know that the one I resisted was the only God Godself. Thus I felt bitterly regretful and accepted God’s end-time work right away.

2. Mai XX, female, aged 73, from Henan Province, formerly a junior leader in the Shouters. In November 2001, when someone preached God’s end-time gospel to me, I not only rejected it but resisted and blasphemed it. Besides, I hindered others from accepting it. One day in March 2002, I suddenly felt I could hardly swallow the food I was eating and had an unbearable pain in my belly. After an examination by a doctor, I was diagnosed with liver cyst. However, that did not wake me up to reality. One day in that May, another person preached God’s end-time gospel to me, but I rejected it again and said, “Even if I’m to be punished, let the Lord get even with me directly. It’s none of your business.” Up till that October, my condition still did not seem better. As my younger sister saw me hurt too badly to bear, she said, “This is your punishment for resisting God.” At that, I no longer dared to resist and started to read the book of God’s word. Through reading it, I came to know that what they had preached to me was indeed the true way. Only then did I wake up to the fact that it was really God’s punishment that came upon me. I felt deeply remorseful, so I fell down before Almighty God and repented of my evil deeds. And then I accepted God’s end-time work. Before long, my illness was miraculously healed.

3. Zhang XX, male, aged 59, from Henan Province, formerly a believer in the Three-Self sect. In October 1998, some people preached God’s end-time work to me. However, I not only refused to accept it but resisted it. One day in August 1999, when I stood in a pool washing my feet, I suddenly slipped and fell. After I got up, I felt unbearable pain all over. For quite a few days, I had difficulty in breathing, and could hardly turn over when lying in bed. In April 2000, my second son, who worked in another city, was suddenly attacked with septicemia. I prayed earnestly for him, but unexpectedly he died in less than three days. I was grief-stricken. After this matter, those who preached God’s end-time work came again. And I realized that since I drove them away my family had never had peace. “Have I resisted the true God? Is what they preach the work of the true God?” I thought. This time I did not dare to say anything against them, but rather tried to read the book of God’s word. In the piece of God’s word “the Commandments of the New Age,” I read this: “Maybe many people have competed against God. What does resisting God taste like? Sweet or bitter? You should know that. Do not pretend that you do not know it. Maybe some people are not convinced in their hearts. Then I advise you to have a try at that and see what it tastes like. Otherwise, many people always have doubts about that. Many people resisted secretly in their hearts while reading God’s word. Didn’t you feel as if a knife were piercing your heart after you resisted like that? Either your family suffered misfortunes, or you suffered an ill health, or your children suffered. Although your flesh was spared from death, God’s hand has never left you. Do you think that it is a simple thing?” From these words of God, I understood that the one I had resisted was not a man but the almighty true God and therefore I had been punished. Thank God! It is God who has loved me and saved me through this. I will follow God to the end unswervingly!

4. Wang XX, male, aged 43, from Henan Province, formerly a leader in the Breaking sect. In July 1997, when someone preached God’s end-time work to me, I accepted it and started to read the book of God’s word. However, that September, I denied it because of being disturbed by my leader. Afterward, the brothers and sisters preached it to me many times, but I never again accepted. In October 2001, another person preached it to me. I not only refused to accept it, but I sealed our meeting place, saying, “If anyone says to you, ‘God has come,’ never believe it. They are deceivers, devils, or false christs….” No sooner had I said that than my teeth root hurt so terribly that I could not open my mouth, and my tongue felt as if it were pricked with needles. However, I still did not wake up but continued making disturbance. At the end of October 2001, I got a brain tumor and was half dead with pain. The treatment cost almost ten thousand yuan. After I was discharged from the hospital, the brothers and sisters preached the end-time gospel to me once again, and fellowshipped with me about God’s disposition. I began to wake up. Then God inspired into me these words: “God came like a thief. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom!’” Not until then did I truly see God’s salvation. So, in February 2002 I accepted God’s new work.

5. Zhang XX, male, aged 50, from Henan Province, formerly a worker in the Hua Xuehe sect. On December 31, 2002, two brothers came to my home and preached God’s new work to me. Because it did not fit my notions, I rejected it, and even pointed at them with my left hand and said, “You two, get out of here! I won’t buy your bullshit! Even if what you preach is the work of the true God, I’ll reverse it since he does it against my will.” And then, within less than half an hour, my left hand suddenly went numb and hurt incessantly, my five fingers were cramped into a ball, and I could not raise my arm. Seeing that, my family rushed me to the hospital. After an examination by the doctor, I was diagnosed with cerebral thrombosis. At that point, my wife reminded me, “Is it because you have resisted the true God by driving away those two brothers today who preached the gospel, that you end up in this situation? If so, we should immediately pray to Almighty God and ask him to forgive our sin. Hurry to them tomorrow….” The next day, I found the brothers who preached the gospel to me, and through eating and drinking God’s word, I gradually dropped my notions, and accepted God’s new work.
